Why Psychoeducation?
Thank you for expressing interest in our psychoeducation program. Dr Susan Ozer is offering this program in partnership with the neurodevelopmental social enterprise -School Doctor (www.school-doctor.com).
Psychoeducation refers to the process of providing education and information to those with additional diagnoses or conditions and their families to promote understanding and personal management. The information is shared as a structured group programme and focuses on information sharing relevant to the specific disorders. Our psychoeducation program focuses on providing information about understanding Autism and/or ADHD. Our trainers are highly experienced professionals working in the NHS and private practice.

The learning objectives
- Increase knowledge and understanding of ADHD
- Increase knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Learn how you can support children and young people with ADHD
- Learn how you can support children and young people with ASD
- Learn how you can access resources at school and community
Modules
Week 1: What is ADHD, including how it affects the brain/ how medication can help
Week 2: Learn about ADHD support strategies
Week 3: What is Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Week 4: Learn about a variety of Autism spectrum disorders support strategies
Week 5: Supporting emotion awareness and introducing the zones of regulation
Week 6: Implementing the Zones of Regulation at home
